Shaul is the firm’s managing partner and head of the litigation department. Shaul has unique expertise in the fields of commercial litigation, administrative law, banking, digital currencies and blockchain, commercial and corporate law, labor law, tender law, and class actions.
Shaul’s experience includes, inter alia, the representation of corporations and individuals in all legal instances and government institutions, in arbitrations and in mediations, as well as negotiation on behalf of clients in all cases he manages.
Shaul has exceptional expertise in the field of digital currencies, and he represents companies and individuals engaged in the field in a wide variety of actions, including civil claims against banks and administrative proceedings against the state authorities.
Shaul represented Bits of Gold in an appeal to the Israeli Supreme Court (EA 6389/17), in which the Court accepted the client’s claims and granted their appeal. In the appeal, it was determined that Bits of Gold could continue to manage its account at Bank Leumi for the purpose of trading digital currencies, and as a result, the company was able to continue operations. This case created a significant global precedent that greatly influenced the entire field of cryptocurrencies, has been cited world-wide, and brought about a change in the attitude of the Israeli Government towards digital currencies in Israel.
Shaul also specializes in the field of class actions and has extensive experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all stages of the legal process. Shaul has unique expertise in leading large and complex class action lawsuits in the high-tech and technology field, including in proceedings against tech giants such as Apple, WhatsApp and Google.
